Cassandra

Like most people Cassandra started seeking employment “mostly for income”, but also with the goal “to feel good about myself, to help out my family and my own home.”

“I thought work would help me to acclimate to society and help me relearn some societal norms.”

Cassandra was referred to work with Do-All, Inc. in their IPS Job Development program by her Case Manager at MPA.

“She said they would help me with a job and that income would help my living situation with my boyfriend and they would help me with building my resume and getting me around town to meet employers and to check up on job leads.”

Job Development Specialist - Sharron assisted Cassandra in reaching her employment goals.

“First, they helped me build a resume, and helped me flush out the types of jobs I might like. They helped me set up transportation which included securing a bicycle. All of these steps, lead me to my current online position, and if I had not had support in all these other employment opportunities, I may not have been able to secure my current position.”

Cassandra worked a variety of different jobs which brought her to her current job working from home.

“I love working from home, and Do-All, Inc. supported my decision to work from home. They took the time to understand my disabilities and past endeavors. This was hugely important to me and my success. If it hadn’t been for the technical support I was given by my JDS, I wouldn’t be in a position that I love.”

Since obtaining employment Cassandra has been able to work towards other personal goals.

“I’m able to save money, go on trips to visit family and friends. I don’t worry as much about my bills as I used to. Working prompted me to start studying for my high school diploma. Once I have that in hand, I’ll looking at attending college for a law degree.”

Cassandra shares that she would recommend working with Do-All, Inc. if you’re trying to reach employment goals.

“My JDS helped me to build self-confidence and not just with employment. I was supported in schooling for my high school diploma, which I am closer to getting. JDS checked in with me about my progress and encouraged me to not give up. Now I’m only 3 books away from completion and I’m really excited about that.”
