When it comes to getting the job done, consistency is a priority for Delbert.

Do-All, Inc.'s 2022 Employment Service Consumer of the Year doesn’t let anything get in his way from completing the job at task at ATS Printing, where he organizes the Do-All, Inc. Packaging Crew. This particular group of workers are called upon as needed throughout the year for packaging needs at ATS. ATS Printing also was Do All, Inc.'s Employer of the Year for 2022.

“I just pretty much package when new shipments come in. I get them in the right order according to whatever size. Then they go in a package.”

His shift sometimes consists of packaging hats or shirts, creating boxes, taping and labeling, or distributing any physical need to his team for what others are unable to do.

“I run the crew. I just make sure the crew is doing what they need to do.”

Having shown leadership skills that went above and beyond, ATS pointed out quickly that the crew pay attention to Delbert’s drive and focus when they arrive. His right-hand man Curtis, another individual served in Do-All, Inc.'s Employment Service program, procures all the supplies needed, while Del puts the daily plan together. Be it picking the items and inventory, selecting who may box or wrap, ensuring the best person is able to do each job to be more productive. Delbert himself chooses to fall into place where he can be of most assistance.

“I like to accomplish the goals. (Just) being there is fun.”

Delbert smiled when noting that his Boss and ATS team treat him very well. It’s clear how proud he is working there. “They’re good to me,” he gleamed.

Utilizing the Dial-A-Ride (DART) Program through the Bay Metro Transit & having a ramp recently built at his home he looks forward to becoming more independent in his life. “I will be able to get out of the house, without having to be stuck in the house so much.”

This year, Del is saving his working money for a Stars Wars trip to Florida. “I wants to go to Galaxy’s Edge Start Wars in Florida later this year and build a BB8 Star Wars droid.”
