Sharron

Meet Sharron one of our Job Development Specialists here at Do-All, Inc. who has been part of the team for 3 years. She throws herself into her work with passion. With having a variety of employment history she feels it is beneficial when working with our consumers and networking with local employers.

“It’s not what you know, it is who you know” Sharron says laughing, when asked what brought her to Do-All, Inc. Sharron had been seeking employment in the Human Services field when she posted a plea on Facebook. Turns out, she had a Do-All employee on her friends list who referred her to a Job Development position at Do-All.

Job Development Specialist’s assist members in our community reach their employment goals. She meets weekly with individuals to assist in developing resumes, submitting applications, preparing for interviews, contacting employers and attending interviews. “It’s not just job searching, building resumes and working on interview skills. It is also about being empathetic to other elements in the consumer’s life. It is also encouraging the individual to utilize their support network that makes all the difference.”

When asked what her favorite part of her job is Sharron says, “Successful closures – helping someone from start to finish.” When an individual in our services have reached their goals and feel they’re comfortable with their employment situation they have the opportunity to leave services with us and refer to as a successful closure. A successful closure is time for celebration though, for us here at Do-All, it can feel bitter-sweet. It means we have helped the consumer find their confidence, but it also means we will no longer be working with them. However, a consumer may return to Employment Services at any time if they find themselves in need.

Sharron has worked with a variety of individuals that have resulted in successful closures.

When not working, Sharron can be found singing or spending time with her family. She is currently working on recording her second album. She is a proud Cat Mom to a spoiled, but charming boy named Ziggy. She even has a painting she has done of him hanging in her office. Sharron is a vital part to our team and we are lucky to have her.
